CONSULTANCY

Well Women & Family Trust has supported the following:

• Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder communication strategy in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Parnell and Alcohol Health Watch.
  
• Asian Sexual Health Pilot. 'train the trainer' for Asian youth in conjunction with The Asian Health Foundation of New Zealand & East Health PHO.
  
• Establishment of three Asian charitable trusts to work with their communities including:
  • The Asian Health Foundation of New Zealand
  • Chinese Women’s Wellness Community Group
  • Korean Women’s Wellness Community Group
  • Asian Women’s Health Trust
    
• Implementation of two Asian Women’s Health Symposiums in 2005 and 2009 in Auckland with considerable media coverage.
  
• Performed a pilot for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation on Maori breast cancer support. Recommendations for a Maori breast cancer support service are yet to be funded. We are continuing to lobby for increased access to services.
  
• Pacific Women’s Trust capacity building - Well Women & Family Trust actively mentors Pacific Trusts, and subcontractors to them, for delivery of Pacific health promotion and screening.
