WONS May Day Charity Ball - Friday, 21st May 2010
I am delighted to report over 300 people experienced WONS first May Day Ball at the Auckland Museum. Thanks to all the sponsors and donors of prizes it was a very successful evening. In particular I would like to acknowledge Labtests, The New Zealand Herald, Auckland Museum and Matua Wines.
We managed a wider media coverage from the New Zealand Herald, the NZ Women's Weekly, health publications and websites promoting events around Auckland. See below for photos and comments.
We are planning 2011 WONS May Day Charity Ball. So if you want to help organise this ball, be a sponsor or donate an auction prize we would love to hear from you.

Event Review
Party of the Week ...
WONS Spokesperson Ruth Davy was excited to be hosting such a high profile event: "We wanted to do something really special to celebrate our 21st anniversary".
Guests were treated to entertainment by fabulous hosts, "Buckwheat & Tess", Wellington based Kiwi songstress Iva Lamkum and her band, and Jo Cotton and the Mermaids, before sitting down to a 3 course meal with accompanying wine thanks to Matua Wines.
The city's well-to-do came out in force, supporting the Inaugural WONS May Day Charity Ball. Rosie Horton is famous for always graciously giving her time for charitable occasions and once again she was playing her part in this event.
Radio host Alison Leonard played MC throughout the event and oversaw the exciting charity auction. Auction prizes included Grab a Seat flights and holiday packages, New Zealand Herald advertising, beauty and stylist packages, Westfield shopping vouchers, life coaching and much more.
Every guest was treated to a luxury handmade goodie bag containing beauty treats thanks to Maybelline, a spa voucher, coffee voucher and more.
