HEALTH PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
WONS: Nursing, Education and Health Promotion Services is a NZQA accredited organisation with a proven record of high quality education for health professionals.
WONS provides health professional training on:
- Vaccinations for children and adults for health professionals and community workers who are involved in vaccination;
- Women’s Health short courses for health professionals and community workers including cervical screening, breast health, periods, PMS, menopause, ovarian disorders, osteoporosis and bladder control;
- Cervical smear taker training for registered nurses, GPs, midwives, health assistants / enrolled nurses;
- Facilitation on the use of the Wahine Hauora Kete;
- Cultural competency training for health workers (contact WONS for more information);
- Best practice training on cervical screening (contact WONS for more information).
Certificates are provided on completion for competency based practice.
